Fire Alarm Systems
Fire alarm systems detect unwanted presence of fire by monitoring environmental changes associated with combustion. We offer a selection of different fire alarm systems to suits your individual needs.
We provide:
Installation
Maintenance
Weekly testing
Fire drills
Systems monitoring
Emergency Lighting
Battery backed lighting which automatically illuminates to highlight exits and access routes in the event of a power failure or a fire, is a legal requirement in commercial and high occupancy residential buildings.
Extinguishers
Most fire extinguishers include a hand held cylindrical pressure vessel containing an agent which can be discharged onto a fire.
Legislation states that extinguishers are regularly maintained by a competent person. Failure to do this not only breaks the law but can lead to the equipment failing to discharge when required, rupturing when pressurized or exploding when corroded. |

Houses of Multiple Occupancy
The ‘Regulatory Reform Order’ (RRO) introduced in 2006 means it is a legal requirement to have an overall fire strategy for ‘Houses of Multiple Occupancy’ (HMO). This includes both the assessment of risk for the building and its occupants and the use of the fire alarm system, fire extinguishers and emergency lighting.
A large degree of accountability for compliance to Government rules and regulations rests with the ‘responsible person’ (see Regulatory Reform Order RRO and Disability Discrimination Act DDA).
