How it works
The systems works by discreetly attaching motion sensor tags to items of value. Depending on how the tags are programmed, if they are knocked or moved an alarm is sent to the central control unit.

Identification tags
The system uses the latest, long-lasting radio frequency identification tagging technology. Tags transmit a signal every few seconds to a central control unit.

Types of tag

• Credit card shape tag (with motion sensor) for paintings
• Domino shape tag (with motion sensor) for ceramics and display cases
• Industrial housed tag used for access control in self-storage units
• Key fob tag that has a wireless panic alarm button

All tags contain a magnetic tamper switch to detect when a tag is removed.

Detection range
The detection range of a unit will depend on the type of antenna used and the fabric of the building, but typically 25-40 metres is expected.

If a wider coverage area is required, additional readers can be added. There are a maximum of 30 standard tags and 2 panic alarm key fob tags per zone.

Sensitivity
The motion sensors can be made more or less sensitive. The most sensitive setting will detect a slight knock or vibration, where as the least sensitive option will need to be tilted about 45 degrees to activate.

User friendly
Access to programme the unit is password protected. Users can add, edit, delete or change the settings for up to 128 tags in 4 different zones.
