 The RFIQ School Library
 Security System

We are approved D-Tech providers of the RFIQ library system which is recognised as the best school library security system in the UK. Using the latest radio frequency technology this system offers fantastic upgrade opportunities when volume or budget allows it.

This unique library security system can be installed with flexible payment terms to suit the school budget.

What is RFIQ?
RFIQ
(radio frequency IQ) is a new, 'no software' technology, designed and developed by D-Tech as an entry level to RFID (radio frequency identification) for school and college libraries.

Protect your school library stock and your investment
RFIQ is the latest library security system that allows schools to migrate to RFID at a later date. Schools are constantly growing and changing, which is why RFIQ gives you the ideal flexibility for your library to stay in step and keep up with the demands made upon it.

If and when you are ready you can consider other options such as self service, biometric identification, longer opening hours and more time to develop services for pupils/students.

RFIQ Overview
Radio Frequency IQ is a transformational technology,
providing libraries with enhanced
security performance.

Features include electronic
de-activate and re-activate, integration into learning management sites and manual mode for non support learning management sites.

Security is furthered with offline backup.

Other Technologies
Other systems available include:
  • RF technology which is a great performer for protecting small levels of stock.
  • EM (electromagnetic technology) This older technology was very popular with libraries and is still used today by some security system vendors, a lower performance than RF based systems.
  • RFIQ This is D-Tech’s New modular RFID library system that easily integrates into School Library Management Systems.
  • RFID (radio frequency identification) is the use of a Label applied to a media item to identify and track using an intelligent chip; it easily integrates into SIP2 compliant Library Management Systems. RFIQ systems can easily migrate towards this.
